Three Batter Minimum: Dead Baseball

I’ve written in the past about the efforts by various leagues to keep the fan atmosphere present at games even when fans aren’t allowed into stadiums. That trend has continued into Winter Ball, at least it has for most leagues. Every league has its own approach, but they generally fall into three categories: 1) Piped […]

Three Batter Minimum: Justin Turner and the Lies We Tell

For the past week, I have wanted to write about baseball. Every morning I would wake up with the idea that today I would write about one topic or another. I’d get out of bed and head downstairs. That’s where all my thoughts about writing changed. That tiny bit of walking was enough to leave […]

Three Batter Minimum: All is Good

It’s a Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee and I’m sitting in my living room. It’s a nice day out and an easy breeze is wafting in through the windows in my living room. I have an ice-cold root beer in my hand and a random Serie Nacional de Béisbol game is on my television. Life is […]

Three Batter Minimum: The Cost of Entertainment

Lately, I find myself thinking about the idea of entertainment a fair amount. It was inevitable given the current worldwide climate and the way my mind works. Entertainment is, after all, an escape, but what good is the entertainment if it doesn’t offer any sort of escape after all? That’s where I find myself with […]

Three Batter Minimum: The Dread of Watching

In the back of my head, there is one nagging thought that I can’t move past. This thought permeates all my discussions of baseball. There’s no way I can escape this thought, no matter of baseball in which I don’t feel it is prescient. I’ve tried, but no matter how I approach it or how […]

Moinelo has really worked on his breaking pitches the past two years and has turned himself into one of the best relievers on the planet.

LMP finals, Hermosillo up 3 games to 1, top 8th, 3-3 game, runners on 1st & 3rd, one of Hermosillo's best hitters up. Yadiel Hernández tries to steal 2nd, thrown out by the pitcher.

Dumb as can be, but I love it. The sort of "action moment" sorely lacking from today's MLB.

Wall St hedge funds have been bailed out so many times since 2008 with taxpayer money that we basically already own them and if we want to troll them out of existence then so be it
