According to ETtoday, at least 9 teams from MLB, NPB and KBO wanted to sign 江少慶 (Chiang Shao-Ching) this offseason. One MLB organisation even offered a 500K USD contract.

The Fubon Guardians have committed to sign Chiang to a deal more than 2.08 million USD. #CPBL

Fubon Guardians held a media day for their "soon-to-be 1st round draft pick" Chiang Shao-Ching at Xinzhuang stadium.

Chiang will begin training with the Guardians on March 3. The former Triple-A RHP is able to reach 159kph (99mph 🦅) with his fastball. #CPBL https://twitter.com/GOCPBL/status/1364859370371080194
